DESCRIPTION:After two years the Scoutmasters Camporee Committee of the South Florida Council – BSA would like to extend a warm welcome to all our Cubs\, Scouts\, Venturers\, Sea Scouts\, Explorers\, and Scouters and Invite all to our 62nd Annual Camporee\, this year we have a challenging and important theme “Sustainability and Inclusion”. Scouts around the world are joining together with other organizations to help protect our planet thru the 17 points of the UN SDG’s (Sustainable Development Goals) and the Scouts My4 SDGs. Scouts are helping\, as BP (Baden Powell) our founder said\, “To leave this World a better place”. Have FUN and enjoy all our activities but at the same time learn about the SDG’s\, practice the 3 Rs (Reduce\, Reuse and Recycle) and make it a habit of better planning of menus to reduce food waste\, not using one-time plastic ware and products\, etc. Remember “There is only one Planet”. Check out our Midway with Solar and Wind Energy\, Electric Cars\, Hydroponic planting and Recycling information\, there is a lot to learn about it. DESCRIPTION:The Ten Commandment Hike is a Scouting tradition. Because we must modify the hike for safety from the pandemic\, we will NOT hike to 10 different houses of worship. We will hike to 2 or 3 locations\, and have representatives of the different religions meet up with us. These representatives (hopefully some youth) will each explain one (or 2) of the Ten Commandments in a quick 10-15 minute presentation. \nThere will be restrooms at our stops & we will comply with all the recommended Covid19 safety precautions. Webelos have the opportunity to fulfill their Map & Compass Pin requirements along the way. \nEach Unit will be required to supply 2 Leaders\, & a water/food support vehicle (food will not be provided).
