“Big Toe” Hike of the Barefoot Mailman

What? The South Florida Council will mark the 19th Anniversary of the BIG-TOE Hike of the Barefoot Mailman.  This 12-mile day-hike, along portions of the historic trails walked by the Barefoot Mailmen of the late 1800’s, provides opportunities for Cub Scouts, Webelos and young Boy Scouts to learn and practice hiking skills while hiking a portion of a Historic Trail Hike.  Like the Barefoot Mailmen, participants in the hike are to maintain self-sufficiency (except water) as they hike the trail.
